About Me
A few things about me
I photograph the world from two points of view: high above it with a drone, and up close with a full-frame camera.
Smedis Air Photography started with a love of flying and a habit of carrying a camera everywhere. Today it covers aerial photos and video of homes, land and landscapes, and event and portrait work on the ground, often both on the same shoot.
The DJI Air 2S gives sharp aerial stills and smooth 5.4K video. On the ground, the Sony A7S III sees in the dark, so festivals, firelit performances and candlelit venues come out clean without a flash, and its 4K slow motion turns a moment into a scene.

No two shoots are alike. Before we start, we talk through what the photos are for, where they will be seen and the look you want, whether that is a bright aerial of a property for sale or a dark, moody portrait lit by a single torch.
On the day, I work quietly and keep out of the way, so people look like themselves. Afterwards, every photo is edited by hand, and you get a private online gallery to preview, favorite, comment on and download your photos.
Photos and video can be part of the same booking: aerials of the venue, the crowd and the landscape, and close-ups of the people who made the day.
What I Do
Aerial photos and video, real estate, events, portraits and weddings, low-light and slow-motion work. Book one, or combine the sky and the ground in a single shoot.

The DJI Air 2S carries a 1-inch, 20-megapixel sensor, as good for stills as it is for 5.4K video.
The Sony A7S III is made for low light and slow motion. It pairs with the Tamron 35-150mm F2-2.8, which covers a whole event without a lens change, and the Sigma Art 35mm F1.4, for portraits with a soft, blurred background.
